Hydrogen Energy Business

Research Target:

Hydrogen Energy Producers, Suppliers, Importers

Research Content:

Conventionally, use of hydrogen in Japan has been limited to industrial, but use of hydrogen for energy has been promoted in recent years because of not emitting CO2 when conbusted.

After issuing the Basic Hydrogen Strategy which led Japan to  become the first country to adopt a national hydrogen framework in 2017, it revised Basic Hydrogen Strategy in June 2023 to set a new target of hydrogen deployment to 1.2 million tons per year by 2040 and to plan to construct hydrogen supply chains.

This report covers the research and analysis on Japan's hydrogen productions and supplies as well as hydrogen supply chains development, and forecasts hydrogen supply volume after FY2025.
