The domestic new graduate recruitment service market (total 7 service categories) for FY2021 generated 122,550 million yen, a rise by 4.9% of the previous fiscal year. In association with the resumed recruitment of new graduates by companies, FY2021 saw the market players to have acquired the demand for resuming the new-graduate recruitment, which led each of service categories that used to be in the decreasing tendencies during FY2020 to rebound, and the categories of “new graduate staffing service” and “direct recruitment service” to maintain the continuous increasing tendency. This resulted the domestic new graduate recruitment service market to expand in FY2021.
Direct Recruitment Services Being Established as a Main Methods of Adoption and Job-Hunting Activities
Direct recruiting service has been known more, against the backdrop of advancement in the online recruitment as well as the job-hunting activities, which increased the registration both by students and enterprises. For the corporation side, the service has been recognized as an efficient recruitment method that contributes to earlier contact with students backed by ever-earlier commencement in the activities of recruitment and job hunting, to deeper mutual understanding with students at an earlier stage after the early contact, and to approach to a student group that does not register or enter the employment-support website.

Against a backdrop of expanding the intentions to recruit new graduates by enterprises hereafter, demand for new graduate recruitment services is likely to increase furthermore. In addition, as demand for recruitment methods and services is expected to diversify, the new graduate recruitment service market is projected to stably expand for the time being through acquisition of corporate demand for employment and through responding to or supporting the solutions for challenges in new graduate recruitment.
