Yano Research Institute (the President, Takashi Mizukoshi) has conducted a corporate questionnaire to leading domestic housing/construction material makers and found out the current conditions and future perspectives.
Summary of Research Findings
From November to December 2021, corporate questionnaires were mailed by post to major domestic housing makers, construction material makers, housing equipment makers and housing builders, and 33 companies responded.
For the question asking their current commitments to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, 30 companies reported that they are working on the “Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities” and “Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production”, while 25 companies (83.3%) said they are making efforts for the “Goal 3: Good health and well-being”, “Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy”, and “Goal 13: Climate action”.
The result reveals that the 30 companies have already set certain goals in place and are carrying out their business activities accordingly. Their business details have a high affinity for the Sustainable Development Goals.
