LPPOM-Japan is pleased to announce that it has been officially recognized as a Halal certification body in Japan by The Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT), Thailand's statutory Halal certification authority. With this accreditation, LPPOM-Japan officially launches its Halal certification services under the CICOT scheme for the Thai market.

LPPOM-Japan now offers comprehensive Halal certification services covering three key regions: Indonesia (BPJPH), Thailand (CICOT scheme), and Japan (LPPOM-Japan).

In 2014, Yano Research Institute Ltd. formed a business alliance with LPPOM MUI (now LPPOM), which was at the time Indonesia’s sole government-approved Halal certification body. Since then, Yano Research Institute has provided Halal certification information and worked jointly with LPPOM for 12 years to support Halal certification in Japan.

All Halal certification services are now handled through a unified application window at LPPOM-YANO Halal Solution, established jointly with LPPOM (Indonesia). Beyond certification services, LPPOM-YANO Halal Solution offers full-scale support for companies located in Japan expanding into global markets—including initial consultations, strategy consulting, training and education (conducted or supported by officially qualified, Japanese-speaking Halal supervisors and auditors), market research, and sales channel development.
