[Overview of the seminar]

These days, some stores introduce common multiple loyalty programs for customers to earn points. Companies operating common loyalty programs recently tend to expand the range of utilizing earned points through business partnerships with other companies. Now all of four common points systems in Japan are tied up with mobile phone carriers, so the results of competition for mobile phone customers will influence the amount of common points to be issued. In this seminar, trend and strategies of loyalty programs focusing on common points will be analyzed and the future prospects will be discussed.

[Overview of the seminar]

The biggest mission in logistics system is to not stop the goods distributing. Under the circumstances where COVID-19 pandemic largely influences our society and economy, logistics system contributes to the sustenance of our daily life by successfully satisfying the delivery demand having been expanded due to increase of electronic commerce resulting from growing trend of "consumption at home." Distribution system is now recognized as one of social infrastructures. However, in fact, the logistics industry where manpower is intensively required has been facing labor shortage more seriously compared to other industries. Utilization of distribution robots are expected to be the best way to solve the problem in warehouses. Further, robots have been gaining attention also from the viewpoint of business continuity plan. In this seminar, trend in distribution robotics market at warehouses by operation process will be analyzed. Also, challenges in introducing robots and influence of COVID-19 will be presented as well as how the logistics robotics market should change to survive in post-COVID-19 society will be discussed.
