The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Market: Advancements in Utilizing AI, IoT, and Other Cutting-Edge Technologies, Moving Step by Step into the Implementation Phase

Japan’s infrastructure has now been in use for over 50 years, and relying solely on conventional inspection methods is becoming increasingly difficult in terms of both cost and time. In response, government agencies, ministries, NDT equipment manufacturers, and service providers are actively promoting the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies.

Progress, however, varies depending on inspection methods, target structures, and application fields. This session will present the non-destructive testing market in light of these circumstances from two aspects: inspection equipment and contract services.

 Topics:

  1. Market trends for NDT equipment and devices
  2. Market trends for contract-based NDT services
  3. Overall outlook for the NDT market

Speaker:

Tsukasa Oota, Senior Researcher, Industrial Technology, Yano Research Institute Ltd.
