Logistics Forum: Logistics in 2030 – Cooperation and Innovation to Create the Future –
Logistics, which supports the flow of goods that are essential to people's daily lives and is called the blood of the economy, is now recognized as one of the social infrastructures. However, there is a serious shortage of manpower in the logistics industry. The enforcement of legislation related to work style reforms limits overtime work for drivers, and efforts to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are also required. To maintain and grow the infrastructure of logistics in the future, new models are needed to improve the working conditions and working environment, streamline and optimize logistics by utilizing technology, and cooperate with other companies (cooperative logistics).
To consider the optimal supply chains from 2030 onward, the logistics forum will be held, gathering representatives of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) that is a relevant government ministry, university professors researching logistics, major global logistics companies, and major shippers.
