WHATS Seminar Vol. 168 [Online] “Application Examples of VR/AR & Sports – from Training to Fan Engagement” will be held online on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

 

[Overview of the seminar]

The third “Sport Basic Plan” formulated in March 2022, with an eye on the future of sports, sets “promotion of DX in sports” as a comprehensive and well-planned measure to be undertaken over the next five years. One of the specific measures in the plan is to “promote the creation of opportunities to enjoy sports in new ways by utilizing digital technologies such as VR and AR.”

In this seminar, how the evolution of VR and AR technologies can address issues surrounding sports and create new opportunities will be discussed, and the advantages offered by such technologies will be introduced through various application examples.
