WHATS Seminar Vol. 166 [Online] “Current Status and Latest Technology of Aquaculture in Japan” will be held online on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

 

[Overview of the seminar]

The food situation in the world is becoming more and more unstable due to population growth and other factors. While the supply of seafood per Japanese person is decreasing, the global demand for marine products is increasing.

Under such circumstances, domestic aquaculture marine products are highly evaluated both domestically and internationally, and a stable supply is required. In order to achieve this, next-generation technologies are attracting attention and are being introduced in the aquaculture industry.

In this seminar, the current status and future prospects of aquaculture in Japan and the rapidly evolving next-generation aquaculture technologies will be introduced.
