Online Training Seminar “First-time Halal Certification – Basic Knowledge of Halal and Requirements of Halal Laws and Regulations of Indonesia –” (September 13, 2023)

Co-sponsored by Indonesia Halal Training & Education Center (IHATEC), the educational department of LPPOM MUI (Halal certification body in Indonesia), Yano Research Institute will hold an LPPOM MUI Japan-certified official online*1 Halal training seminar on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

In Indonesia, the law to make Halal certification obligatory came into effect in October 2019, and compliance with the law is now mandatory. Most of those in charge of Halal systems in Japan do not have sufficient knowledge of Islamic laws, and they need the opportunity to learn the basic concepts and knowledge of Halal certification to properly comply with Halal certification.

The purpose of this training seminar is to provide participants with an opportunity to learn the basic concepts of Islamic laws as a basis for Halal certification and understand the key requirements of the Halal product assurance system under the laws of Indonesia.

This training program is mainly for:

  • Those who are in charge of Halal certification and learn about Halal certification the first time.
  • Those who are working in the industry of manufacturing foods and food raw materials, cosmetics and cosmetic raw materials, pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials for consumer goods, etc., and the service industries such as the restaurant industry, logistics industry, and warehousing industry

9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.  Halal Concept Basics

10:45 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.  Break

10:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Indonesia Halal Regulation & Halal Supervisor, Case Study & Discussion Q&A

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Lunch Break

1:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.  Introduction of Indonesia Halal Product Assurance System, Case Study
