[Overview of the seminar]

Since infrastructures in Japan are more than 50 years old now, the maintenance system needs to be shifted from breakdown maintenance to preventive maintenance in order for them to be managed at low cost for a medium to long term. For this reason, manufacturers of non-destructive testing equipment and devices have been working on new equipment/device development to achieve lower costs, higher speed, and labor savings, and to make them more advanced and simplified. These new equipment and devices include new elements such as artificial intelligence and data analysis, and the test results are more detailed. Therefore, it is becoming possible to predict the healthiness and risks of objects in advance.

In this seminar, the non-destructive testing market under these circumstances will be clarified based on two aspects: inspection and equipment, and contracted services.
