Osaka prefecture has been working on the promotion of business development of bioplastics, which contribute to decarbonization and reduction of marine plastic waste, by taking advantage of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and related opportunities. On this occasion, a seminar will be held to introduce the current situation and challenges about bioplastics, as well as the efforts made by the whole industry and the measures taken by the prefectural government. The speakers will include bioplastic experts; researchers from private research companies; those who are engaged in raw material businesses, and manufacturing and processing, and sales of plastic products.

In addition, with the cooperation of the industrial association, discussion will be made between content creators living in Osaka and representatives from 10 small and medium-sized enterprises that manufacture and process plastic products, who are willing to take advantage of the Expo and related opportunities, to talk and exchange opinions with each other. Please note that the discussion part will be organized for the content creators and the participating companies, and therefore all others including general public will not be allowed to join it.

 

This training program is mainly for those who are interested in commercialization of bioplastics (from companies of related businesses, research institutions, universities, support organizations, etc.).
