[Overview of the seminar]

The logistics industry, which supports the social infrastructure, has been suffering from labor shortage more seriously than other industries since it is a labor-intensive industry. Therefore, introduction of logistics tech with “labor saving” as its keyword has been gaining attention.

Introduction of logistics tech has advantages including not only increase of work efficiency and contribution to labor saving but also digitalization of the things that had been managed in the form of paper or the like to make logistics data. How will the logistics, which used to be a “black box,” be innovated with data? The industry is currently in a transitional stage.

In this seminar, trends of the logistics tech that has been progressively introduced in warehouses, including berth reservation and reception systems that have been attracting attention with “2024 problem” being near at hand, and WES that has been gaining attention, both due to the introduction of logistics robots, will be explained, and market challenges and future goals will be examined.
