The free seminar on the new structure of the certification process discussed by the Executive Director of the LPPOM MUI, organized by Yano on Wednesday, June 30, was a great success with nearly 80 participants from Japanese companies. LPPOM MUI, with more than 30 years of experience as a Halal certification body in Indonesia, is the first government-authorized Halal inspection body certified by BPJPH in 2019, and has been considering new rules and organizational structure from the standpoint of understanding the current situation and convenience of companies receiving certification while maintaining consistency with government regulations. Also explained were the conversion procedures that the validity period of the MUI Halal judgement can be extended to 4 years, new rules for the validity period to meet the regulations of destination countries such as UAE, and new rules to shorten the certification process.
