In recent years, the rise of innovative technologies, including generative AI, has dramatically changed the process of new business development and the barriers to market entry.
At this seminar, Yano Research Institute, which has been conducting market research and consulting across a wide range of industries for many years, will share practical know-how for business development. The program will include an introduction to AIDEL, a new service launched by Yano Research Institute using generative AI, as well as practical guidance on how to use business frameworks.

Part 1 14:00–14:40
Structural Changes in Japanese Industries and Growth Markets

Speaker: Takashi Mizukoshi, President and Representative Director, Yano Research Institute Ltd.
He graduated from Keio University in 1985 and joined Yano Research Institute in 1989. He became President and Representative Director in 2005 and has also served as an auditor of the Regional Revitalization and Inbound Tourism Council since 2018.
He has been involved in business strategies and new business launches for major corporations and has extensive experience supporting the growth of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as in M&A. He has served as a part-time lecturer at Shibaura Institute of Technology, a visiting professor at Takushoku University, a director of the Nakano City Industrial Promotion Organization, and Chairman of Yano Research Institute Shanghai Ltd.
He is the author of Introduction to Statistical Thinking (English translation of the Japanese title, President Inc., 2014), and has extensive experience writing papers and delivering lectures. He has also appeared as a commentator on television news and information programs.

How to Use Business Frameworks in the Age of AI
— We will explain how to use frameworks for business decision-making, rather than simply focusing on how to write effective AI prompts —
Speaker: Hitoshi Ohnaka, Executive Officer, Yano Research Institute Ltd.
After joining Yano Research Institute, he was engaged in research on industries including real estate and food, before moving on to consulting, business matching, and M&A-related activities. He has extensive experience supporting SMEs, including projects commissioned by financial institutions.
He has conducted numerous training programs and lectures for public institutions, financial institutions, private companies, universities, and other organizations.
His distinctive approach is to explain management strategies by connecting systematic approaches to management strategy with a variety of business frameworks.
He has also served as an instructor for the Successor Training Program for Business Owners at the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation (SMRJ) and as an instructor at the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center. He is also a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Business Administration at Toyo University.

Developing Business Ideas from a Blank Slate and the Pitfalls of Using Generative AI

Speaker: Ikuo Shinagawa, Executive Researcher, Yano Research Institute Ltd.
After joining Yano Research Institute in 2001, he has been involved in a wide range of market research and consulting services, primarily covering industries such as real estate, construction and building materials, and logistics. He has also supported clients in generating ideas for new businesses and served as a seminar speaker.
He subsequently moved to the Future Project Planning Office, where he has been responsible for planning and promoting new businesses. He has led the development of AIDEL, a new service utilizing generative AI, consistently from the conceptual stage through planning, development, and business launch, and continues to oversee the project.
He holds the G-Certificate offered by Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA).
