The Event Celebrating the Launch of “State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2020/21” to be Held in Japan on January 26, 2021

The event celebrating the launch of “State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2020/21” (SGIE Report) will be held on January 26 (Tuesday).

In this event, based on the research results of “State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2020/21,” presenters from DinarStandard will introduce the current situation and future prospects of the Islamic economy regarding following fields: foods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fashion, media and entertainment.

After the introductory presentation on the key industries, a researcher from our company, Yano Research Institute Ltd., will make another presentation about how Japan can be involved in the Islamic economy that is expected to grow even while being affected by COVID-19.

In the following part of the event, we will get into the “Islamic finance”. A presenter from a financial institution who has been already working on the “Islamic finance”, a potential future market, will make a speech about the topic. Further, a presenter from Food Industry Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will discuss the “Export Promotion Policies for Japanese Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Products and Foods” of Japanese government for overseas markets including Islamic economic sphere.
