WHATS Seminar Vol. 175 [Online] “Corporate Alliance to Deal with the Marine Plastic Pollution”

WHATS Seminar Vol. 175 [Online] “Corporate Alliance to Deal with the Marine Plastic Pollution” will be held online on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

[Seminar Overview]

To solve the problem of marine plastic pollution, it is necessary to collect the accumulated plastics in the ocean and prevent new plastic waste from being discharged into the ocean. CLOMA aims to build solutions originating from Japan that aim to eliminate plastic waste discharged into the ocean with consumers and society and spread them all over the world by gathering the technologies and knowledge that the industrial world in Japan has cultivated so far, accelerating innovation in the fields of “reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R)” and alternative materials through the cooperation between the public and private sectors, and ensuring the recycling and use of plastics.

Lecturer: Koichi Yanagita, Technical Manager, Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA)
