The exterior wall materials market (as a total of 7 fields, i.e. ceramic sidings, extrusion molding cement boards, ALC exterior wall materials, tiles, metal sidings, mortar wall materials [pre-mixed mortar], and exterior wall finishing materials) is estimated to have attained 353,300 million yen for FY2021, 101.3% of the size of the previous fiscal year. Recovery of new housing starts in this fiscal year has recovered those external wall materials mainly for detached houses such as ceramic sidings, and metal sidings.

On the other hand, external wall materials mostly for non-residence such as extrusion molding cement boards, ALC exterior wall materials are kept on decreasing due to demand elimination for hotels and other applications encouraged by inbound tourism demand.
