Online Training Seminar on Halal Certification of Indonesia for Livestock Products (August 3)

Co-sponsored by Indonesia Halal Training & Education Center (IHATEC), the educational department of LPPOM MUI (Halal certification body in Indonesia), Yano Research Institute will hold an LPPOM MUI Japan-certified official online*1 Halal training seminar on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

This training program is mainly for the following persons:

  • Persons in charge of management of slaughterhouses or meat processing plants and persons in charge of related works
  • Persons from companies that operate export meat businesses
  • Persons in charge of export guidance at Meat Hygiene Inspection Centers of each prefecture
  • Persons from companies engaging in businesses related to export meat

9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.  Module 1. Introduction of Halal Certification

  • Halal and Haram: Definitions, Related Terms, and Types of Najis
  • Animals that Can be Slaughtered According to Islamic Laws
  • MUI Halal Certification Procedure

10:45 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.  Break

10:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Module 2. Slaughter of Animals According to Islamic Laws

  • Treatment of Slaughtered Animals under Islamic Laws
  • Requirements for Slaughterers: Guidance  for Slaughtering Methods and Skills Based on Islamic Laws
  • Requirements for Slaughter Rigs under Islamic Laws
  • Requirements for Slaughter Processes under Islamic Laws
  • Meaning and roles of Stunning in Islamic Laws and Requirements for Stunning

 

*This training seminar will be conducted in English with consecutive Japanese interpreting.

*The textbook is written in English, and Japanese translation will also be provided.

*IHATEC certificate, which can be used as proof of competency or proof of training attendance when auditing Halal certification in Indonesia, will be issued.
