Enhancing Future Talent and Business Creation through eXtreme Business Thinking
— Plus: Understanding the New Norms (and Abnormalities) in Market Research —
(Snack Yano Kei Vol. 6, Thursday, June 26, 2025)

In today’s stagnant and stifling business environment in Japan, what is truly needed may be a degree of bold, unconventional thinking—combined with calm and strategic management that can transform ideas into value. However, many diligent and disciplined professionals—particularly those in large corporations—often struggle to understand how to think in such a “controlled unconventional” way.

This training program introduces the concept of “eXtreme Business Thinking” and provides practical methods that can be applied to human resource development, new business creation, and other organizational challenges. Participants will also engage in a dynamic interactive Kabeuchi session to discuss and refine their ideas and issues in a supportive setting.

In the second part of the program, we will explore both established and emerging perspectives in market research—covering practical research methodologies and new insights.

This is a highly cost-effective program designed to provide participants with both theoretical frameworks and practical tools to navigate the changing business landscape.

Recommended for:

  • Professionals involved in human resource development or new business planning
  • Those who feel a sense of stagnation in the current business environment
  • Individuals looking for creative yet structured approaches to business innovation

Why Host This Seminar at a Snack Bar?

Yano Research Institute supports Japan’s snack bar culture. More than just drinking establishments, snack bars have long served as hubs for business networking and social engagement since the Showa era. They provide a unique setting where people can learn life lessons, social etiquette, and build meaningful connections.

In today’s digital age, interpersonal communication is declining, leading to increased loneliness and social isolation. However, snack bars are gaining attention from sociologists and municipal representatives as a potential solution to these societal challenges.

As a leading market research firm, Yano Research Institute has officially committed to promoting snack bar culture. In collaboration with the All Japan Snack Federation and Office Nagamo, we are launching various projects to leverage snack bars for business and social communication. This seminar marks the first step in that initiative.
