Achieving a Carbon-Neutral Society through Agriculture

Our company develops small-scale plant factories that utilize urban areas and vacant spaces. In this seminar, we will present our efforts toward achieving sustainable agriculture and a carbon-neutral society, including a new initiative utilizing Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology to directly capture CO2 from the atmosphere.

Speaker: Mr. Tsubasa Sugai, CEO of Spicecube Co.,LTD.

  • Born in 1983. Originally from Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, and raised in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture.
  • Started a business at the age of 35 after working as a part-time farmer.
  • Previously worked in the manufacturing industry, handling business planning, proposing new projects, and developing new products.
  • Founded Spicecube Co.,LTD. in 2018 with the goal of increasing the agricultural workforce and improving Japan's food self-sufficiency rate through the nationwide promotion of small-scale plant factories.
