WHATS Seminar Vol. 189 [Online] “Market Trends in the Japanese Sake Industry and Future of Sake with Added Values”
WHATS Seminar Vol. 189 [Online] “Market Trends in the Japanese Sake Industry and Future of Sake with Added Values” will be held online on Monday, September 9, 2024.
[Seminar Overview]
The consumption of Japanese sake peaked in 1973 and has now declined to less than a quarter of that level. While a bottle of wine, which is also a brewed alcoholic beverage, is sometimes sold for 1 million yen, a bottle of sake is generally priced at around 2,000 yen, and there are very few sake products that exceed 100,000 yen.
While the industry as a whole is struggling to get out of its low-profit structure, SAKE HUNDRED is challenging the global luxury market by developing only high-end sake ranging from 15,000 yen to 260,000 yen.
In this seminar, a representative of the venture company aiming for sustainable growth of the entire industry by creating a luxury market that has never existed in the sake industry will explain the market trends in the industry and the company’s strategy.
1. Market Trends in the Sake Industry
2. Strategy of the Brand Business
